Jong-Min Park, born in 1983, has Bachelor and Masters Degrees in industrial design from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology KAIST]. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Design Management Lab of KAIST under Industrial Design Department. He has a special interest in the area of design promotion, especially in national design promotion policies and strategies. As a researcher in the area of design management, he has participated in numerous projects including ‘Building a Role Model for National Design Promotion Organizations’ with the Korea Institute of Design Promotion [KIDP] and ‘Defining Roles and Competences of Designer and Developing Criteria for Evaluating Designers’ with Samsung Design Center. irish@kaist.ac.kr
