Heo Jin Young received a Bachelor's Degree in chemistry from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology [KAIST] in 2005 after which she commenced a Masters Degree in the Department of Chemistry in the same institution. Following a leave of absence from school, when she worked as an assistant in Mongolia International University for one year, she started to work in the field of structural biology. At present, she is a member of the Center for Membrane Receptor Research, and in the 3rd year of Master-Ph.D joint program. Her current interest is in the receptors involved in the innate immune system, especially those that singal the invasion of pathogen on the cell membrane. Riaa@kaist.ac.kr.
